XML file structure

Hi I have Dell Dock which I think is based on Object Desktop. It's really great but it takes a long time to load now I've added alot ok my personal links.

Looking at the xml files there's absolutely loads of junk entries in there for stuff that doesn't and hasn't ever appeared on the dock, I don't want it and will never use it AOL, McAfee as a couple of examples. Over 60% of the xml files is junk that fits this category. Is their any documentation on what and how I can trim all this out in the hope of speeding up the load time processing of the xml?

The Dell Dock is based on Object Dock (a specific program) as opposed to Object Desktop (a suite of applications/programs).  It's an OEM version licensed to Dell by SD (far as I know) and any issues with it would likely need to be addressed to Dell.  Someone here (with more knowledge than me) may be able to help, though.

if it opens in notepad, then should be a simple delete the line(s) you dont want the remove the space(s) to bring it together - - maybe

make a copy, place elsewhere , add .old to the name - edit the original - if it borks, replace with the copy
