Cannot Install Impulse

Hello all,

 

I'm trying to install Impulse to play my copy of Galactic Civilizations 2. However, when I try to install Impulse, the installer gets stuck in an infinite loop. The progress bar  starts at empty, goes to full, and then back to empty. It does this in an infinite loop, repeated every 3 seconds. Anyone know what's going on? I have all the .NET redistributables installed, including 2.0, 3.5, and 4.0.

I've created this topic last week, and submitted a support topic last week as well. To date I have gotten no response. What am I supposed to do now?

Post your support ticket number here.

Support tickets are answered on a first come first served basis.  If you sent another email after receiving the auto-response with your Ticket number then your position in the support queue would reset itself.

In the meantime you can try running this file - http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/cleanimpulse.exe  and then install Impulse from here - http://storage.stardock.com/files/Impulse_setup_full.exe .

I've used your cleanimpulse link and it worked great! Thanks. It appears the issue was arising from a conflict with Visual Studio 2008 Professional that I had installed for work. The setup warned me about it while I was installing impulse.
