net framework 2.0 problems

xp pro sp2...i have completely erased all operating hdd 4 times now (reformat and repartition my pc) and all i do is go to win update download all but sp3. (sp3 gives me a blue screen after it restarts to start sp3) so i get a fresh copy of net frwk 2.0 pluse i have it on storage hdd. when i install reg ver of impulse i get impulse req. nt frwk 2.0 (after it is already installed) them i went to install full ver and after i log in and impulse gets updates, i get impulse has encounter a problem and needs to close. THIS IS WITH THE FULL VER. OF IMPULSE (i think nt frwk 2.0 is included in this prog). this has happend to many times BUT THE 30 DAY TRIALS WORK FINE with no oppt. i hate shareware. this program worked fine in trial for 30 days and as soon i pay for the prog. they give me SHAREWARE so companines and anybody else can go in my pc and screw it up. i have NOT had this prog. running for 7 days contu. without it screwing up my pc or how the programs run. how do i fix this problem?...................OVERVIEW.......  REG. IMPULSE SAYS I NEED NT FRWK 2.0 WHEN I HAVE NEW 2.0 INSTALLED.................IMPULSE FULL TELLS ME ERROR.........................ON A REFORMATED PC

Okay, well when you are having a problem its best to find what's wrong and fix it.  That said, I would like you to know I'm just another member of the community here and not Stardock Support.

So, you should send 1 email to [email protected] and give them as much information as possible.  Do not send multiple emails as each one you send causes you to go back to the end of the line.

I'm thinking based on what I've read of your post that in updating Windows XP to SP2 you don't have net framework fully updated.  You can try installing net framework 3.5 and all its updates.  That may do it.

Have you a fix for Windows7 64bit yet? I cannot get impulse to install or run. I have .net framework 2.0 and 4.0. I'll try installing 3.5 and do a directx update as well.

Bubba08 you may have a different problem.  Impulse not installing means something is blocking it.  So try turning off your AV security and making sure you are logged in as admin.  Also, you can try turning off the UAC (set to lowest setting) that should get Impulse to install for you.
