New Stardock Central not updating libraries or newest additions

Anyone know what the new Stardock Central (1.3) doesn't DL the libraries and update "newest additions"? I've tried to do it and nothing changes. I've had the same list of "newest additions" ever since I DL'd 1.3 . . . anyone with an idea?

In SDC/Tools/Settings/Skins and Themes check 'Check for Skin File Updates on Startup' and check 'Clear Recent Skin and Themes List'. Click OK and close and re-open SDC.

I tried this. 2 Things happened. It did seem to update the libraries but when I clicked on SDC/Tools/Refresh Site Updates, nothing took place. Secondly, I re-opened the Settings and found that the 'Clear Recent Skin and Themes List' was unchecked, even though I had previously checked it. After repeating this procedure a few times, I found that it always came back as being unchecked when I would close and re-open SDC. I don't think the problem was fixed.

It clears the file and then 'un-checks' itself by default...that's the way it's suppose to work. The 'SDC/Tools/Refresh Site Updates' is not working. Unless there is something wrong with your install, 'Check for Skin File Updates on Startup' and closing and opening SDC should update everything...I see you have the WC Icon...do you by chance have the WC Browser?

Hmm. . . interesting. I tried what you said on #3 post, Gary, and it updated SOME of the newest additions but not all of them. It also updated SOME of the libraries but not all of them. Beyond that, if I open the separate window for newest additions it still has the old list. I do have the WC Browser. Does that make a difference?

sorry, that last post was unclear. If you are on the "Skins and Themes" tab and you click on "Site Updates," it opens up a separate window. That window didn't have anything but the original list from a few days ago. Sorry for the confusion.

The only thing I noticed it doesn't do is add in anything that has been uploaded today

Normally I don't use SDC for the messageboards....just tried it....twice it crashed WinXP....scandisk found cross-threaded (whatever..crossed files) of a WC cookie and a GalCiv cookie. I delated all cookies, all temp. internet files and Earthlink Accelerator temp. internet files.....now it works fine. Just really weird that cookies could crash my computer.

...that's the part that doesn't work. Stephen, it's not the cookies, it's the cache file that's doing that. Once you clear it (and you did) then it should be fine. Sometimes, if you have both WC Browser and SDC, you can update Skins in both and it solves the problem on it's own.

I only have problems with the StardockCentral showing me an update for Winstyles every single time I load it, but never really downloading it when I accept it to do so!!

There is no more 'Winstyles'...it's now 'Theme Manager'. If you have it installed then use it as you would Winstyles.
