WB's Explorer BackGrounds Not working

I am on windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit with WindowBlinds 7.2 303 NEWEST

I still have the same issue as I did when I had Win 7 Ult 32bit

I still can't use WB's EBG (= Explorer BackGrounds) and Some WB skins even if they where made for win 7

here is what EBG is doing it's not working!

can't apply any of the Textures to any skin. when I do, the text (Font) shows the wallpaper and the EBG is still the skin color usually White.

and if I use the the Slider to make just the EBG more Transparent the Text does the same as the Textures (that's for the Active window)

now for the Inactive Window it does Nothing at all but if I put a Texture to it the it does the same as the Active window the text (Font) fades out and the wallpaper

shows through the Text but NO texture..

if I Link the two together then both Active and Inactive the text (Font) fades out and the wallpaper shows through the Text but NO texture.

On some WB skin EVEN without EBG the text (Font) fades out and the wallpaper shows through the Text and that's with even Skins made for Win7.

all this is on a NEW PC made for Win 7 not just upgrading to Win7 .. it was doing the same thing with an PC I had (Made for XP) with Win 7 Ult on it..

SD said it was my PC then.... SO what it it NOW with a NEW made for Windows 7 with Windows 7 on it???

I opened a Ticket back in July 18 2010 and SD closed it within 1 week and it was not fixed then.. [#GJL-285223] my last E-mail to them was August 10 2010

with NO reply back....

In Feb 2011 I got a NEW PC and well it is still doing the same thing.... this July will be a year without getting the FULL use of WB's well longer but will go with the Date I opened the ticket.. that's only 3month away.... NOTE Impulse was the first thing to be installed on this NEW PC then WindowBlinds and the only thing that was FIXED was that the EBG check was gone but still had the same issues.. with EBG... So is this going to be fixed...?

I never had a problem using those Backgrounds. It sounds weird. I think there can't be a problem with one of your PC's. It must be any other mysterious problem.

Do the easy first DC. Uninstall Windowblinds. Run CCleaner. Reboot. Disable Anti Virus. Re-install Windowblinds. Enable Anti Virus. Reboot. Then try again. More than that I can't tell you. Good luck.

Since it's carried over to a new PC AND there doesn't seem to be anyone else seeing this problem......I'd say you have a conflict with some other software (or possibly hardware) that you used on both systems. Do you have anything (non-stardock) that you would call customization software? What other non-windows processes are running normally?

no well yes but it EBG was doing it way before it was installed

I got My new PC feb 10th for my Birthday for the 11th the first thing I did was to uninstall all the crap that comes on new PC's

then I installed Impulse then all the SD goodies I like. Yes I said F the Security's WB is first then Installed Microsoft Security Essentials

and all the other Security stuff then I do the set up stuff like Registry Files A.K.A.

Copy to move to.reg to right Click menu

Disable Fullrow Select.reg So I can move folders, files in Windows Explorer how I like them like you could with XP EX: so I IF wanted to, To have

"Magical Flaming Heart.docx" right by "clipboard caching utility.exe" or by a Folder... I don't use Disable Fullrow Select.reg for the use of Disable Fullrow Select

as I use Large Icons.

Take Ownership.reg to right Click menu

just to point it out again

on some WB's WITHOUT EGB enabled the text will show the wallpaper too

Ex of just one skin that is made for 7 (Aero 7 by 007TINAR) it only effects Windows Explorer not note pad not word.

and yet (Slider XP by I.R. Brainiac) works perfect not made with 7 in mind at all.

could it be Disable Fullrow Select.reg doing it ?

try undoing the Take Ownership registry hack and just disable UAC ....... unless you share your computer with someone else.

that did not work either

Disable Fullrow Select.reg it is still engaged I even went though and Delete the REG's for it so I have to be missing something I opened the Reg file and deleted all but it's still here...

I am going to install 7 on a new Portion and see what happens ....

so far WB's EBG is working.

Impulse

one skin That I knew was not working (Aero 7 by 007TINAR) and it's working here..

When I find the Program that is making it stop working I will post it......

I sure would like too know what in Disable Fullrow Select.reg

is the cause of it cause I would like to use it but I want WB's to work more

I hear your the go to guy with pc

the main part of Disable Fullrow Select.reg I want to use is the part

that lets you have the extra room on the Right like XP dose and to move the files any where in that folder in windows Explorer

and the space between the Icons (Files) like xp
