When my friend (Neone6 rates a skin it shows what his rating were when he returns to that page, when I rate a skin it looks like it is registered (stars going gold) but when I return theyre gone ??? why is this ?
I think the rating you recieve from moderation is the rating that is shown permanently.
You are able to rate it but it wont change the rating at all ( correct me if im wrong )
That is incorrect.
The rating shown is an average of all ratings made on the skin. The more ratings that a skin has the less of a difference one person's rating will make to the overall rating.
It was doing this to me too, until I noticed that it must take several minutes before your personal rating takes hold. If I rated something and came back within lets say a minute, it showed that I had not rated it. But if I rated something and then came back lets say 5-10 minutes later, then it did show my rating.
It's almost always been like this.....there is more than one server running our end of the woods so it nearly always takes 'time' for all the little ducks to get into the right 'row'....
In other words, you'll see a 'lag'.
Lately I've seen new names posted in the last-posted heading of the forums...but when I look at the thread that actual post isn't there.................yet...;)

neone6 lots of folks will download without leaving comments or rating.
Another thing to remember, not everyone who downloads can rate.
You may have 6000+ downloads but that doesn't mean you have 6000+ ratings on your WB. Actually you have less than a dozen people who have rated this skin.
Remember, you skin for yourself and shouldn't be concerned about how high the ratings are or aren't.
I have checked the ratings and they are not out of the ordinary.

If we're going by ratings, all of my creations "suck" haha. Don't let ratings bother you, I just skin for myself and when I feel like the WC community might appreciate my work, I upload it.
I checked out your blind and its pretty impressive, especially since its your second. But there's always room for improvement...which is why you rarely see a perfect rating on this site (vstyler is an exception... 
). I was working on a few blinds myself before I found myself falling behind in my college coursework. It's a lot of work and I'm sure those 6,000 people who downloaded it appreciate it.
Keep up the good work, and have a positive attitude when skinning dude. 
You need to just skin. Slowly. And forget the posts and stuff like ratings. Just do your thing the best way you can and take your time doing it. Relax and enjoy.
If ratings are not so important, it would be more simple to take them away 
Well its always good to have some motivation to improve....
I skin. You skin. We all skin. Skinning is FUN!! I can, and sometimes do, come up with wacky stuff. Why? Because I like it. If I could skin all the apps I would but.... WB's scare me. 100+ parts. Holy smokes. 200+ parts. Arrrrgh! I'm lucky I can do 20. I ain't lookin' for ratings. Maybe a few more comments but its all good. Know what. I don't even check my dl count. I rarely even go to my personal page. Thing is ... I love what I do and if someone likes it enough to download ...... cool. I even got a feature or two. How cool is that. Point being ...... I do it for me. Its nice to look at my screen and see something I've created actually work.
On your computer, that would be a major accomplishment.

I used to have 97 programs on it. Now I'm lucky if I have 30. I only installed the ones I use. The rest are put away for safe keeping. On the external drive. Did you see my Logon screen. Now that was a surprise.
