Win7 64-bit "Sins of a Solar Empire has stopped working."

No mini-dump, log empty

Its been a couple months since i last played but now i can't play. On launch, i get the windows error box that says: "Sins of a Solar Empire has stopped working. Windows will now close the application." This happens for Entrenchment and Diplomacy as well. There is no mini-dump and when i turned on logging, the log file was always empty.

My system is an EVGA 790i Ultra with E8400 Intel CPU. 8 GB of RAM and an EVGA GTX295. Win7 64bit is fully updated, drivers are all updated, Impulse is updated, Sins is updated. My anti-v, ESET, is fully updated and the system has been scanned, and i have tried running Sins without the anti-v on with the same results.

Have i missed anything? Any suggestions? Or should i just give up on Stardock?

sins diplo 1.2?

Have you tried "run as an administrator"?

Tried the repair critical files option in impulse?

Tried reinstalling sins from impulse from scratch?

Sins Diplo 1.2.

Tried running as admin.

Have reinstalled all three from scratch twice now.

Tried enabling Large Address Aware.

Tried repairing critical Impulse files.

No change, same errors.

I will contact Stardock but honestly, i have had better response times from wasted frat boys. And more useful results. As for the other comments, Win7 is the best Micro$haft OS i have seen and that include DOS 6.22. As for porn, they should forward that to the Sins of a Solar Empire art department.

Thanks for the response and help, Pbhead. I appreciate the attempt.
