I know. I can't help it. This whole thing is like one big toy box and I get to play with everything. Sometimes I will admit I do go waaaaaaay overboard. What it is really is too many programs and some of them are buttin' heads. Most of what I install is just for testing but more often than not I forget its there then bitch moan and groan when it hiccups. And, and my posts reflect this, and I'm too quick to hit the panic button. Now there's a thought. Maybe I'll make one. lol

I know this is asking for trouble, but, Uvah, if you want to play with stuff and try things, install a virtual system to play in. This way, your system is safe and you play in the sandbox.

Believe me Jim, its not asking for trouble. yrag's got more brains in his pinky than I sometimes do in my whole self. I need to reformat anyway. I have the Pro version of Win7 which has built in virtual support. And speaking of sandbox. In the book I'm writing (yeah...back into that after almost eight months) a favorite saying of one of the lead characters is ... "This is my sandbox. You play nice in my sandbox or I kick your ass out." Anyway ... one of the reasons I like the Pro version is that it has XP as a virtual OS. BTW ...... had XP on my first store bought PC. I deliberately crashed it twice by doing this very thing, loading it up with stuff. You think it will hold it against me? lol

It can have, not does have. But I get your drift. Have you used it? If not, you'll need to go into the BIOS and turn virtualization on, if your system supports it, not all systems do. Even with Pro. 7.

Then, I believe there is some extra software you need from MS. Then you have to install XP on it.

I find the virtual XP good for testing a lot of things, but not for testing windowblinds.
