lie to us.. so the next President wouldn't be able to say "READ MY LIPS" "NO NEW TAXES"

Being able to identify theses areas (in the future) might help fix stroke damage. I somehow doubt Google will have the population of the world on a conveyor belt going through undecilabyte supercrays. I don't believe they care what we think (they care about selling the advertising to change it), and that > 99.9999999 % of thoughts are even worth knowing, at such tremendous expense.

might be more interesting.

they talk about using a leaser to do it  or a Light and point it at the front of your head but that is in a few more years

so Google wont need the conveyor belt

I did, DC. I've seen the FMRI done, as well as PET's. I just don't see it happening for some time.

Do I agree that such scanning is unethical? Yes. Will it happen? If trends in the erosion of freedom in the name of 'security' continue, yes. If people can ever get the balls to say 'No!' without incurring the wrath and poison of the 'Neo-McCartyites' or not caring if they do, then it won't.

Let them try it with me.... I can guarantee 'the press' will be interesting what was I thinking? (lol). The press and real reporting and finding truth, as well as speaking it to power has gone the way of....well, the printed word.

That's all we friggin' need.... Google with the technology to know what we want before we want it.... and how to friggin' sell it to us.

Yeah, well if they tried to probe my brain, they'd only get mush....

That'd be the day I had CRAFT disease and couldn't remember a fucken thing. :w00t:

I like the thought ,if its used for things like people born mute.
But i believe the use of that technologie runs in a diffrent direction.
And the thought that someone would be forced into such a thing or to wear a hat with the same ability in a court room is making me smile already.
How great would it be if the dude wearing that thing would get asked to answer a question and the Computer would give the answer Ass go beeep beep yourself.
LOL

For something like this the temptation for abuse is just too damn great. Reading one's thoughts can also lead to manipulation of those thoughts with a simple suggestion. Subliminal messages have and are used to great effect already. There have been songs with these sort of messages embedded in them and they do work! As far as I'm concerned I hope they fail miserably. I can see monitoring the brain's activities during certain thought processes to gauge a person's reaction to stimulae, (Is this a word?) as in bio-feedback. Great for those impaired in one way or another but actually being able to 'read' them. NO WAY!!! IMHO
