A disgrace on Uncle Sam's part

I wasn't going to put up any more posts but this one needs to be seen. I know there are Veterans here who would definitely cry foul once they read this.

You'd think this would mean something.

It means a lot Uvah, especially to me.  I served 22 years, and something like this really irks me.

that's ridiculous. he fights for the country, is born to us citizens, and has lived here his entire life and this crap happens?

Saw the item before you posted it, Uvah. It's a sorry state of affairs. Bureaucrats rule with no effort to tailor their actions. "There's a rule!". Pitiful, really.

"We can never thank you enough for your sacrifice!", "Support Our Troops!". Right.

Why are we so good at generalizing, but fall down so badly at the individual level, I wonder.

It's because we humans is generalists to a bad point sometimes. Thats where racism comes in too.

From reading the story it would appear that the correct folks are getting involved that should be able to clear this up.  Some of the responses though that were received when seeking help were in a word 'unprofessional'.

XX, I don't believe there is a problem here to which you refer.
