Multiple Instances of ObjectDock on Virtual Desktops

I am running the latest version of ObjectDock. I run a Virtual Desktop program from sysinternals. When I start ObjectDock it will only appear on the desktop from which I started it. With the older version I used to be able to start multiple instances of ObjectDock (one for each desktop), but this doesn't seem to work with the latest and greatest.

Any thoughts?

I am definitely a newbie with ObjectDock, but I am truly loving it. I found another Virtual Desktop program called Finestra that seems to work ok. It seems to be a bit fatter than the one I was using. The sysinternals virtual desktop was tight code with a very small footprint. Never had any graphical issues with it and the previous verisons of OD worked under it by starting a new instance for each desktop. Finestra is a fat client that wants to share the windows across desktops, which makes it slower and appears to have a few graphical problems.

That said, I was just wondering again if anyone might know why I cannot start multiple instances of OD with the latest version like I could before. I have no problems starting multiple instances of browsers and MS Office.

Thank you!

JeffSC, if you haven't opened a ticket with SD support, I'd suggest doing that. Might be a quirk of sysinternals... I don't use virtual desktops, so I really can't give you responsible info/help... sorry.

Thanks for the feedback. I will open a ticket because this new virtual desktop is quirky.

I am running the latest version of ObjectDock with VirtuWin virtual desktops & have the docks appear on each desktop. VirtuWin is a free program I found when the paid for virtual desktop program I was using started behaving badly.

I did install VirtuaWin on XP with success in seeing Object Dock on each of the virtual screens. Thank you!

The difference is that under my previous virtual windows software the windows open on each screen would show active icons only on that screen, which is what I prefer. While under VirtuaWin some of the active window icons show on all the screens. This is especially the case with IE.
