Cant install impulse

Hello, ive been trying to install impulse so i can update sins of a solar empire trinity which i just bought. I need to update it so i can go online with my friends. When i try to install impulse, it says i need .NET 2.0 framework or later. but i am up to date as far as windows updates (i think). im running windows xp. Thanks!

Just head over to Microsoft.com and download the latest (3.5 if I remember correctly).
