Dif'Culty with multistate images [SOLVEDED]

back and forth, back and forth its driving me crazy.

A new smx I'm working on uses multistate images for tcp in and out. I had to fix them because from what I saw in other smx's the multistate images have to have no spaces between them. I did that and it worked, sort of. Both left and right images shift side to side. Look at the screenshot

I really can't tell what part of that image is the TCP images, lol. Any shifting is more than likely due to something being off in the frames of the image itself. Double check that the frames are all exactly the same size and that you didn't accidently trim a pixel or two off the first or last frame. Also, doublecheck that each image in each frame to make sure they are positioned correctly, and that your frame count matches the actual number of frames.

Animations can be a pain in the butt sometimes!

I'm finding that out. I double checked the frame count. It was off by one. That solved one problem. Then another popped up. The multistate images are to either side of the skin. Left and riight and move up and down. I switched them over to cpu usage and they both work perfectly but when I switch them back to tcp in/out I get the image you see in the screenshot. Each image is a copy of the one following it so they are all exactly the same size and no pixels missing. Why would it work with one value and not the other? I should mention they are the checkerboard images.

Maybe the images are reversed on one side?...hard to tell since I never skinned smx...just guessing here. ;P

They were when I first made them. Figured that one out quick when it started to run backwards. Its just that one value that screws it up. I really do want the tcp there as it makes for an interesting effect. Oh ... BTW, this is a prototype of sorts. I'm trying to test different things on it before the actual smx. Here's as far as I got.

Can you send it t me? Hard to tell just from a shot.

On its way Lady Xiandi. I'll send the psd with it.

You have mail. |-)

(sorry about the mini math lesson, but it's how I make sure I got mine right)

Thank you so very much. I thought that images needed the edge all around. Thinking the same as buttons do. Oh well ... live and learn. Is it sufficiently weird?

Thinking the same as buttons do.

Buttons don't either. ;)

And if they did would they still be buttons? :)
