Galaxy Forge

Gridlines

Is there any chance anyone has  figured how to add gridlines in galaxy forge?

The program seems simple and that black background has to be a value in there.  Just wondered if anyone had peeked under the hood to see if a back image can be added?

That would be a really great idea, along with a "snap to gridlines" option.  It would also be nice to have some sort of a template for making symmetrical maps (in terms of angles and distance to the center star).

I was content just to have a background image able to be inserted--then you could map a 2d system as a graphic, slap it in and lay your planets and stars over it.  What's annoying is that is probably easily done but the code is gibberish to me--I have looked at it with a hex editor but that's not my area--nothing is plain text identified as 'background" but obviously something IS in there telling it to be "black".

As I just won the lottery, retired and came into a massive inheritance--along with having all my Intel, Microsoft and Apple stock split--I'm sure I'd be grateful to the programming wiz who tweaked it.

Trust me...I'm worth millions.

I have a teeny bit of clout left on an unrelated open source project.  I may ask one of the devs there to just peek for me.  It's a coin flip if they will or won't.  Never know with those guys but this program has to be elementary in this regard.  To the cloud!
