Are there any mods that add multiple tech ships? I dont know if there are any, because i dont want to go through the entire forum. 
You mean TEC? Distant Stars is the most popular mod that changes the Vanilla races, but I don't think they added new ships. Most mods that do that are total conversions that add new races.
Hidden Alliance is slowly adding ships and they also incorporate Distant Stars which has more strike craft.
im currently working on one as well that adds more units to the original three no new races. i just need to download gimp find someone to make voices and the icons.
it adds in 2 new frigates per race 2 cruisers 2 strike craft and 3 very heavy cap ships that require massive research to get
