I know i'm a slack cheater, but ...

**this post contains info on a SoaSE cheat that I used and need some advice on; if you don't want to know about the cheat, please don't read any further; if you already know about it, please read and help me out if you can**

I used the cheat where you load a game as one of your opponents and transfer some of their resources to you, then reload as your original faction; I almost never cheat at PC games, but I'm still learning SoaSE and I took on a scenario that I'm probably not ready for yet.  My question is:  when I reloaded the game as my original faction, the faction that I cheated as (the one that I loaded and used to give my original faction some resources) has stopped engaging in any activity of any kind:  no research, no ship-building, no movement, nothing.  Also, the diplomatic relations bars in the diplomacy screen have disappeared.  Does anyone know how I can get that other faction to re-engage, and if there's anything I can do to get the relations bars to reappear?  I know I'm a slack cheater v_v , but any help would be greatly appreciated.

We know what your talking about... transfering control between players has a tendancy to cause the AI to give up.  As in surrender.  There is no way to get the AI to un-give up.

Time for you to reload from an autosave.

Nope, you probably messed something or another when you took control. If you want to cheat just make a map where you start with ridiculous amounts of resource in the galaxy forge. That way you don't screw with the AI.
