Yeah, that is really amazing stuff indeed... though a video of if would pale into insignificance compared to witnessing the event in person.

If ever I were to travel to the US [something I now very much doubt due to immobility issues], Yosemite would be one place I'd definitely visit.  In fact, I'd probably skip all the city destinations many tourist head for, New York, LA and the like, and head out for all the natural wonders instead.  Not much of a big city person myself [given the dirty, polluted and oft crime ridden places they are], so they'd be 'just passing through' places on my way to the next nature stop.

Grand Canyon is another. Just think. A river carved it over many millions of years. The Colorado.

Yosemite is an awesome place to visit. If you get a chance, be sure to visit Jackson Hole, Snake River, and the Grand Tetons as well since they are not far away.

I took two weeks in August a couple years ago and toured the area on my motorcycle, it was the best ride I've ever had.

Five minutes to the edge of town here and there's the Grand Teton itself and all the ranges. Harley dealers as well...let's ride! :andrew:

Frazil ice here soon, I hope, then the roads dry up. Now frazzle nerves...cabin fever.

Seldomseen is lucky to be right there seeing what I can only imagine or see in pictures. Neither can be as good as seeing the real thing up close.
