Hello You still there?

How long have you been a member?

Ok I've been a member since 7/2001 and buying stardock programs a little longer than that!

My question is how long have you been a member and are any of the founding members still around? (frogboy you can't be included in this question, you are older than dirt around here! lol) No particular reason just interested as a lot of skinners from way back haven't been around and wanted to know if there are any still around!

I've been around since '98 (1998) for the wiseguys that lurk. Had the software since Allan Bond's "Capsula" made me buy in. Wasn't very active except for the software for the longest time, then started meeting some really nice folks...most of whom are still here.

Glad you came back for a look see!... mighty respectable member number. Stick around... the madhouse is fun!

:)

/me is still here, and have been a member WinC since day one, and also a part of the Skinning community since before Skinz.org turned brown.

Alot of the (good/best) skinners/artists of the Old Guard have found other interests or just simply quit.
Some are still around, just not active (skinners) anymore. (Which incl. yours truely)

I've been around a while.

I was CarGuy but since I no longer had access to the email account and had no idea what my password was, I created another account in 2007.

I came back to WinCustomize because of DeskScapes and to download some dreams. Didn't really see alot here so I started making my own.

One day Zubaz helped me out by customizing a shutdown gadget for the Harmony wall. His single act of kindness made me stick around, join in the community, and start uploading my dreams. As much as he's done around here for everyone, I bet the Zubster doesn't remember doing that.

Trialed Windowblinds in October 2001, purchased in Jan 2002.....Object Desktop in June or July that year.

Back then you didn't have to sign up for the website unless you wanted to post in the forum......made my first "Help Me" post in 2003 when I made my first blind. I was so impressed with the friendly attitude (after years of BBS flame wars) that I stuck around.

My first purchase was desktop launchpad. I needed something at work to launch repeditive answers in emails to users at the collage I worked at repairing computers and working help desk. Stardock at the time had the only program to do that, also bought something for os/2 from them. I remember a lot of you guys, thank you all for responding.

Just under 2 months to Wincustomize.com's 10th birthday....and my joining.

One of my first 'jobs' was testing uploads [sizes, etc] for T-Man... to be sure the galleries worked OK. [That's why there's some odd 'crap' from me on here].

So that'll be 21st of March.

WC kicked into life a day or two earlier though, from memory....;)

Became a member on Feb 12, 2004... so almost 7 years now. First found WC a few months before that. My first son was born October 2003, so I needed something quiet to do while he slept instead of playing my guitar. Surfing around for wallpapers I found Wincustomize. Started uploading walls, then eventually Rainlendar and Sysmetrix and some icons.  Dabbled in CursorXP for a while too.  Don't do much skinning anymore, just an occasional wall here and there. But I'm still here every single day, multiple times a day.  o_O

I started my desktop customization journey with LiteStep development back in the later part of 97, moved to Customize.org, wandered from there over to Razorart till it closed it's doors, then moved to WC full time. ( I was lurking about WC when the Doors opened but drug my feet on joining.) My first skin was uploaded as backgrounds for LSTaskman. Tho not as active as I would like, (real life an all) I still try to push pixels around when Possible.  Current project: LCARS DX Res Independent theme.
