really wow i really need help with this i cant run sins anymore with the ships i have been making for a mod
Your ship is broked.
Your model is not compliant with Sins. You might post the model if you want experienced modellers to provide feedback.
Thoumsin had a post somewhere about using meshlab to validate models too... though I can't remember where that post is.
Edit - search seems to work well for me apparently. https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/399710
how can a model not work with sins? it was working yesterday till i textured it with the siege ones it after that it stoped working and doing those two errors
also does it matter if im working on a 64bit system and xsi is 32 would that make any difference.
No, but if you are using Softimage XSI 11 there may be problems as reported by other modders on these forums. I'm using 7.5 on windows 7 64 bit without any issues.
i have 7.5 as well but every time i load a ship no matter which cpu i have made it on i have to load it three to four tie so it doesn't look screwed and twisted up going to try with the untextured ships hopefull they work
ive done everything i can possibly think of it its just that one ship mesh that it reads then crashes will try it on another cpu tomorrow
now i am just getting this error
Assert @ c:\projects\Perforce\SinsDiplomacy\main\CodeSource\Engine/Render/Mesh/Mesh.cpp(875)
DirectXAssert: [!FAILED(dxVerifyHR)]
Context: D3DXCreateMesh( m_Data.m_Triangles.Size(), m_Data.m_Vertices.Size(), D3DXMESH_MANAGED, decl, g_Core.d3d9->GetDevice(), &m_pD3DXMesh)
HR: (D3DERR_INVALIDCALL)-Invalid call
it crashes right after this
