Boxed Retail Edition came with no CD key

I recently acquired, a few months back, Sins of a Solar Empire after getting a computer that can finally run it. However after opening the box I found that no CD key had been included. I went through every page of the manual and looked at all the usual spots but there was nothing to be found.
