Planet and mesh textures have disappeared

I downloaded the latest version of the Malestrom mod for diplomacy the other day, installed it under the correct file path and launched it.  It launched fine, however there is a problem, all the meshes and textures for EVERY planet type dont appear in game, i have checked and the files are present.  What is causing this.

 

The game is up to date, all graphics drivers are up to date and the graphic settings/effects have been changed by those recommened by the mods creators.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled once already, to no effect

grizzly256, open the MOD's pipelineeffect folder AND delete the following files

GS_Asteroid.fx
GS_Planet.fx
GS_Ship.fx
GS_ShipBuilding.fx
GS_ShipPhasedOut.fx

these are the usual causes of the missing planet/ship textures since entrenchment 1.04, if the old versions of the files are in the mod THEN the missing mesh issue happens and removeing the old version files listed allows the engine to find the current files which do not cause the problem.
