Game freezes after mod enable

Hey again I have another question I don't know if this was already asked but here go's. After I altered the max fleet sizes the game will freeze and create a dump file and I don't know what is wrong with it I am going to look at the dump file. At first I thought that it was because I had audio files that were to large. Then after I removed the files and let it use the base files then it still freezes and creates a dump file what am I doing wrong. Did I do something that the game cannot understand or what? Its not an instant crash either it takes it a while before it happens I can play for a good while before it just stops working. Thanks

or use a dropbox type site to upload the mod in an archive, so that others can look at the entire mod and advise.

it might be a case issue where a single letter is in the wrong case or even a missing or extra SPACE in the wrong place inside your entity files

Ok thanks guys for the reply I think I found it were I was changing the numbers I put a few letters instead instead of putting a zero I was putting a O. Stupid mistake I know sorry guys didn't mean to be such a noob.

yes that WILL cause a minidump, when adjusting numbers ONLY use the number row OR keypad to minimise the risks

End of 501stCommander's quote

Ironically that is a very common mistake. Even with us elite modders.

What ever happened to the old zero with the stoke through it. I still hand write the zero like that. Should be an option for coders.

should be an option for everyone or at least put in on the keyboard like that

Another option is to use my Sins Editor Eclipse Plugin to avoid hunting down simple but very irritating issues. It's a small learning curve to get Eclipse setup and running, but once you get it setup and learn the basics it is very low maintenance.
