help with getting mod to work no checksum

....

okay so i modified a research subject because im makeing a only capital mod but i wanted to test one file to make sure i was entering the right info so i test it and yes i put it in the right mod folder and everything so i enable it in game it freezes like normal then unfrezzes and i can play theres no check sum and they mod didnt do anythign.. what did i do wrong ?

Is the research subject you modified in YourMod\GameInfo folder?

umm could you explain what you need in a mod to make it work?

like you put it in the diplo mod floder then you have to have a game info folder then the entity file? and should i just make a file callled game info what has to be in it?

nvm i figured it out! wow i feel great any mods ive ever made b4 were just missing game info *face palm* thanks so much!!!!

Start with http://soase.weebly.com/sins-mod-set.html which is the Sins modding PDF converted to html and should cover the basics. Go over that and post back any questions.

Edit: Make sure the folder name is GameInfo not game info or gameinfo. Mosty only entity files in GameInfo. Look at the directory structure of the Reference Files.
