That is a really awesome price Spencer! I wish I knew someone in my family who wanted it. I bought it for my sister when it was on sale a while back.

believe it's a texture?

this program used to be free and the program used by so many to be initiated into the WC family of programs. reminds me of a drug dealer saying, the first fix is on me. there should be free lite version that just changes blinds without all of the textures and stuff??? might keep more people around???

Yes I agree there should be a free lite version. I know it does not seem like a lot of money for most people but where my wife is from no one uses Windowblinds because they can't afford it.

senior moment here? I have had SKS and WB for some time but I haven't been around here since 1999 so,,,

I do remember that I was quite disappointed that I had to purchase WB7 in order to use SKS7 though.

Out of curiosity, how much did WindowBlinds cost back then?

and that was through stardock central. I think I may have had a "no charge" upgrade to WB6? again, grasping at straws to remember, seems so long ago.

It seems that its true. You can't please everyone. Maybe you should put together a special version of Windowblinds 7 for Giveawayoftheday? Winstep did that for Nexus Ultimate 10.6 no too long ago.

Why?  If you want it, get it.

I already have it. Some just seem to not be happy unless it is free.

Back in the 60's there was talk about lots of free things, there wasn't any.  :O :-"

And the paradox being that money can not buy true happiness either. It only rents it for a little while....

Actually? Not. It was a download at that point. I just remember purchasing it and downloading from a link in an email. SD Central came along later.

Neil...please feel free to correct me if I'm incorrect.

Also, is there any way I can find out when I first bought WB?

Sorry Doc. but just to get back on a couple things that were said earlier. No one is saying that Windowblinds should be free. I think some of you have misunderstood. I paid for OD and would happily do it again for an even greater price. What I said was I think there should be a basic version offered for free. That version would only have the ability to change blinds with no customization ability at all. This would not be the only software to do so. There are many different types of software that offer a basic version for free. I would even argue that if there was a free basic version sales of the pro version (or whatever you want to call it) would go up. More people would download the free version and use it until they got tired of just having the ability to change blinds and upgrade so they can have full functionality. Yes I know there is a trial for free but I think there would be purchases past the 30 days the trial gives you.

You get what you pay for and WB7 is well worth it. I would like to see a super sale on it though, maybe a free bundled app??5*
