DX2 Everywhere...But its not available?

Hello,

I bought object desktop a while ago, and have it updated to the most current version 1.99h[b].002. All of the objects I have liked so far on this website say DX2 Support...And when I dl them, I get a message saying that the object was made with a more current version of DesktopX. Then asks me if I still want to open the object. I do, and it doesn't work properly. This is the same for themes...

A little help...anyone...

did you perhaps upgrade from the shareware version of DX to the OD version?

1.99h[b].002 is the most current version. Have used several of the newer objects up for download with not problems. Perhaps something in the registry is screwed up. Does DX show up in the add/remove programs when you go through the control panel?

It does not show up in the add/remove programs list. I upgraded from the trial version of object desktop. I then used Stardock Central to d/l and install destopx. My sys is as follows: WinXP, AMDXP3000, 1gb PC3500DDR, 160gb 7200rpm hdd, 80gb 7200rpm hdd, gForceFX 5200, DX9.0b

dethnite is right about the current beta version. All references to DX2 actually mean one of the latest beta versions with the 1.99 designation. Until beta testing is over you will not see a version offically designated DX2. You need to download the latest beta version. This will no doubt solve your problem.

oops....just noticed 1.99(i)b.003 is the latest beta. Try this.
