I got a netbook and windows seven. I installed sins of a solar empire. When I open the game and try to play a scenrio it shows a screen with "small map" etc. on it but no button to launch it. There is no back button so when I click on new game or something I can't go back. There is no button on the game to quit the game either. The tutorial runs but so far when I have run it the game makes no sense (like how to navigate around the map). It just seems to be bugged to the point where I can't play. And then I get online to see if I can download an update now I can't even open the game. I have to register with their stardock thing first and now I have to find where I put my registration and go through a bunch of hassel.
Now I can't even open the game. Then I wrote an e-mail to stardock explaining exactly what I said above and then wrote I either want it fixed or want my money back. So they e-mailed me and said my e-mail was blocked as spam because of the content. Now read the above and please tell me what is inappropriate about that? I guess asking for your money back gets your e-mail blocked and they wont even read it.
This is too much trouble. I always hated that about stardock. I bought their old empire game and it always wanted me to register with their game dock. I just want to buy the game at the store, install it and play it. I don't want to give a company my personal information and load a bunch of additional software on my computer. But at least the previous game worked I can't even play this game. I just threw my money in the toilette. Even if it does work in the future I don't like going through all this aggravation just for a game. If I pay for it I should pop it in and it should play. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops.
But I guess I'll try to get the registration code and register on their game dock maybe they will actually let me play the game I PAYED FOR. I wonder if this is illegal somehow. I guess I could probably sue them if I payed for a game and then they wont even let me play it. Then they wont even listen to my request for some kind of assistance or refund. I guess I need to give them my social security number credit score and thumb print then I can down load a patch for the game to work.
