I was playing Derelict and there is a sun that I can not find a path too. I ignored it and then I cleared out the AI and still didn't win. I obviously have to go to this solar system. I am missing something. What is it?
research, specifically Long Range Jumps for both TEC and Vasari and Distant Visiualization for Advent
I believe there's also a wormhole passage to the other star on this map, though directly jumping between suns is easier.
Once you've made the research, you can jump directly between any two stars you want.
Thanks--there was a worm hole there. What do I do with it? I know there is research for worm hole stabilization, but the worm hole does not lead anywhere--is there something you can do in a worm hole?
In that case, try jumping from star to star. When you've researched the wormhole ability, you move your ships into the very center of it and they'll disappear and reappear at another wormhole elsewhere on the map.
Just to add to Dirty, once your ship goes through the wormhole you can see the new connection and where it leads by clicking on the wormhole. You can also double click the ship so the camera follows the ship to the other side.
