downgrade to version 1.05

hello.

i have bought a fine copy of soase, and after playing online for a few matches via impulse i decided to try to play the 7ds mod. after a day of trying to get it to patch back to 1.05 from 1.16 (reinstalled and installed from disk, stays at 1.16) anyone know how to go about doing this? i have searched the threads and found several questions similar to this, but everyone was talking about the fact that you cant downgrade if you bought in on impulse.. thanks in advance.

I think its in the registry (regedit). The version stays in there, ya there n00bs. If you reinstalled without updating, try 7DS or try logging in Ironclad.

you can create a second copy and find the 1.05 update (I believe the 7ds mod has it at their web site) and upgrade that one

also eventually they plan on having it fully up to date with everything

though that is a very big project

Isn't there a 7DS for Entrenchment?  They really haven't updated it for Diplomacy and the more recent patches?

thanks for responses all, one problem i am having is even when i install 2 copys of the game separately via cd, both are 1.16, which (as far as i know) cannot be upgraded to 1.05. am i correct? or is there an impulse problem somewhere..

well you could try to uninstall both, then reinstall one copy, upgrade to 1.05, change that file to one that is different (like say Sins 1.05) then install a second and use that as upgraded

though if you have 1.16 that may mean that the disk is that far upgraded (after all we are now at 1.191)

What version of the game do you have? Original, game of the year, trinity etc. ?
