How Do I Get Started Using Skins Tips!

New to the skinning scene? This can all seem overwhelming, when you first discover this site.
Hopefully this "mini-tutorial" will help you start to get a handle on the wonderful world of skinning.

After you've read this, and checked out the links, if you still have questions, don't hesitate to start your own thread here in the "Help Section" of the messageboard. Be sure your thread is descriptive.
HELP!! isn't very descriptive.......... "Need help with CursorXP" is much better. This will also help people searching for threads later.

Let's get to it............

When you're surfing the Libraries, look near the top of the skins section, and you will find an info box, with links to the software needed
to use the skins, basic help, etc.

Additional help can be found here -------> https://www.wincustomize.com/help.aspx

Enjoy your skins!

Another tip for you..................... you can change your site skin by clicking the Themes Manager link, under Options, on the left side of your screen.

I agree. You know what would be cool? Star trek! But this symbol (©) is annoying in that respect.

I'm just getting started using WindowBlinds and I would like to know how to download the skins directly to the DISPLAY box of my computer

Once you download skins, you should be able to go into Display Properties, and under the Appearance tab there should be a dr0p down box that lists all the skins. Hope this is what you were needing. Sorry to take so long in responding.

Some posts never die.

Dreams have three prerequists:
  1. MS Windows Vista Ultimate
  2. Windows DreamScene
  3. Windows DeskScapes
Install all those and *then* you can run FutureWorld.dream

All depends on which skins you are trying to download. Every library has a link to the program that uses the skins in that library.

What if you are a Windows Vista Business user and want to use a Dream. I have registered and paid my 19.95 1 year subscription but I am lost. I first downloaded the Deskscape (free) download. Then after I paid, they sent me the browser. However, even when I want to apply a Free Wallpaper (like Distant Waterfalls by Alex Morgan), I end up downloading it but I cant seem to get it started. It keeps prompting me to Pay or Canel.

Any thoughts anyone.
