Minimizing problem

from WinCustomize Forums

Hello guys, im new with this since today so bare with me ;D

 

Well the problem is:
when im firefox e.g. and i minimize it, to do something else
and i want to reopen it, i cant. It opens a new firefox window and not the one i was working previously

So i really hope you guys can help me out

What version of ObjectDock are you running, Free or Paid?

Sounds like you are clicking on the shortuct and not the open window.

If on the OD2.0 beta, go to settings, then advanced tweaks. If the box "When a shortcut is run,if program is already running bring it to the foreground only" is unchecked,check it.

In OD1.9  go to Miscellaneous Options to apply this setting.

Note: According to the UI, this won't work on tabbed docks.

Im using the free version. Errr, how can i see a diff?
I only got this since today, so no clue =X

EDIT: Thanks wizard, i got it !

but something else. when i press my MSN messenger icon, which is already running, all my current chats open at the same time.
cant i pick a certain window?

for the msn situation, you would want object dock to display running tasks; which would also work for selecting your already open firefox window as well. 

in doing this, object dock will run pretty much like the windows taskbar, just without the system tray.
