"Conservative Republican" is an Oxymoron

Republicans like to think of themselves as conservatives, but when they actually choose to negate protections put in place by their own party, never mind what others think or do, they are not conservative. In fact, they are conserving nothing. They spend everything now, make money, and leave nothing for the future. If ever there was a misnomer, an oxymoron, I think it is calling a republican "conservative".
