Whenever I load the game, all I get a is black screen and my mouse pointer (which looks like a feather.) I hear music, but see no graphics whatsoever. I have the latest nvidia drivers installed as well.
Yea, that's what I get also.
The editor is working great with patch 1.06
Screens load fast, running smooth, but no actual gameplay available.
I really wanted to love this game.
You know the same day I got the game, my wife had a book she ordered that came in.
Guess what, all the text was on the pages, and the book opened.
She got her moneys worth!!!
Her book will be the same every single time no matter how many times she reads it.
Eventually, the AI will be better and games will be much different on subsequent play throughs.
Right now, it does seem like some numbers and balance are out of whack.
That does suck if all you see is a black screen. I have nvidia and latest drivers... not sure what gives there.
How many times she reads the book is not the issue, and you know that.
My point, gosh I feel I don't have to explain is, she bought a product that was working!!
This is the only industry that a product can be half finished and sold to the public.
And I don't buy the old, wow it was working in beta story.
We may all like this company or not, that's not the issue either.
I just can't imagine buying a car and waiting 6 months until the motor is actually working.
Now I will say this, software is different than a car motor, more complex, different OS systems, video cards, etc...
But, it's still selling a incomplete product. Bottom Line.
Ok, so I tried installing it on my other computer. Guess what. Same results. Get a black screen, a feather mousepointer, and music. Nothing else. One cars is NVIDIA and the other is ATI.
