Help with text

I need help with the color of my text for the skin I am making. The text is the color I want it, white, on every menu, except for the Favorites menu for some reason. The text is black on the Favorites menu, making it hard to read. I don't know why it is just on this one menu. Another thing, the 'All Programs' button text on the start menu is the color I want it, white, except I want to make the hover color white too. I have it set in SkinStudio so it is white, but for some reason when I hover over the button it turns black. One more thing, the text is readable on most menus, except for the ones in SkinStudio. I can't read the text on the menus, like on the 'Open existing files' menu. The text looks all scrambled. I can read it when I hover over it. On the file menu, also in SkinStudio, the text is readable in all spots on this menu, except towards the top at 'New...' And no, its not my version of SkinStudio, I tried applying another skin and the text is perfectly readable. Any thoughts? Thanks.

WindowBlinds cannot change the color of the text of the favorites menu. Nothing you do in SkinStudio will change that. Windows handles the Favorites in a different manner than it does the other menus. Until Stardock figures out a way to skin it, you can't change it in SkinStudio. Sorry.

As for the All Programs text color question, I'm a bit confused. You say you want the hover color white, too. Do you mean the text hover color or the hover color for the Menu-Highlighted Background? If you mean the text hover color, just use the same white color preset you used for the Normal color. Occasionally, you need to unload and reload the skin a couple of times to get the settings to stick. Also, just be aware that sometimes the previews in SkinStudio don't always accurately reflect the changes in the skin. Load the skin up in WindowBlinds and check it yourself.

As far as the glitches in SkinStudio, my best advice there is to email Stardock support or post it on the SkinStudio newsgroup. The interface for SkinStudio has had little glitches like you describe with almost every version I've tried. Some are more annoying than others, but they come and go with each update, and some skins affect SS more than others in sometimes unexpected ways. I've just learned to live with them.

I want the text that actually says 'All Programs' to be white. I do have the same white preset I used for the normal color, but for some reason it is black when I hover over it. And I don't just need to unload and reload the skin a couple of times. It has been like this for a long, long time. Thanks

This skin has white text for both Normal and Hover states on the All Programs text.

Partly right...the normal colour can be changed. the mouseover/hover colour will stay the same as the normal colour vs. what happens with the other dropdown menus.

Alright, I figured everything out. Thanks guys. The reason the text looked scrambled was because I had one of the 'Classic Colors' text colors set to a wrong color, making the text appear to be scrambled. Thanks
