Windows 7 and sins

compatibility

First post here.  Just got a windows 7 based computer(home version) and discovered most of my games are not going to work.

Excited about getting Sins but I want to make sure it will work with the least amount of grief.  Does it matter wether I get the original sins or trinity?  Which version will be more stable on W7?  I'm hoping trinity will be.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

Sins works like a charm on windows 7. I have HP 64 bit. intel i5 650 3.3 gig with 6 gigs ram.

If your graphics are built in i suggest you get a halfway decent graphic card. G-force 220 gtx's are cheap, and they do just fine with sins.

Trinity is all 3 versions of Sins in one package, and well worth it. All will work. Original Sins is more stable because there is less content. There is a known 2 gig crash issue with Entrenchment, and Diplomacy.

:congrat:  Thanks for the info!  Think I'll get Sins on ebay and avoid the expansion till a fix comes out.  Looking forward to it.

ebay could be selling a used sins which can not be updated, and major stress IS working on a fix for the 2gb issue it is called "The Sins Optimization Project" and it is workable at present, just a matter of using the mod, and I have played sins and enjoyed it on a lowly ati m200 in a toshiba laptop that has a celeron 1.8ghz.
