Skin Studio Error

Is it just me or does the mouse over/normal for the shutdown dialog on the stand by button not work properly? Mine seems to show the mouse over regardless of whether I move my mouse over it. Is this a Windowblind error, or a Skin Studio error? Anyone else notice or have this problem? Thanks.

Same thing with the Switch Users button on the Log Off Computer dialog. I think it's because those buttons have the focus. I've never tested the theory by hitting Enter on the keyboard, so I could be wrong, and it's just another quirk of Windows. But if you look fast, when you click cancel, you'll see the Normal state of the button.

Yeah, I noticed that. I guess the only fix is to have the focus the same button as the normal. Although, you lose the mouse over effect that way. Oh well, Thanks. I glad it isn't just poor skinning.

Your diagnosis is right - you can force the buttons to lose the focus by clicking on the cancel button, but sliding the mouse off it before releasing the click...that shifts the focus to the cancel button and the other button then shows the "correct" unfocused state. I noticed this too when skinning and pondered it for a while wondering what I'd done wrong. It seems odd that MS haven't made Cancel the default button on those dialogues, but hey-ho...

I think my solution will be just to use the same button on the stand by normal state and the mouse over stand by state. That way, there will be no focus interfering with the way it should look normally. I had to do that befroe, but I was just wondering if it was a problem with WB or just the way the OS is designed. Thanks.
