Uploading & Requirements

I recently uploaded a suite called Rube Rose. I received approval in an e-mail.
Then it never appeared,I e-mailed an admin, he responded that it may have been
removed for what ever reason, by another admin. I gave credit to each author of
each element. Is that not enough? Do I have to contact each author for permission even though credit was given? I'm new,and just startin to contribute.

sounds like a problem for the admins. keep trying to contact them. don't annoy them though

If you use another author's work, you must have written permission, included with the submission. Credit must be given also, but credit alone is not enough.

If I want to use for instance only the titlebar buttons of another authors skin in my skin, do I still need written permission?

Yep. All graphics are the property of the original author. It's called Copyright.

Got some of my permissions in, Hope to be reuploading soon!

And yes, as I have learned, you cannot use any part of any work you didn't create yourself without expressed written consent. Most all artists are flattered and give permission,there may be stipulations such as no editing,ect.
