Installation/Autorun-Launcher Issues

Unable to install

I have installed SoSE on my laptop before, but for several reasons, it has been wiped multiple times. I have never had installation or any other problems due to this, so I doubt this is causing the problem. Now, when I insert the disc and the autorun initializes, the only parts of the window that pop up are the "X" button, the stardock, ironclad, and SoSE links. Also, this causes the computer to freeze up and run slowly, usually ending in a full crash. If I attempt to install straight from the disc by running the setup.exe link (of which there are two, one with the sins icon, one without) I will make it as far as choosing my install options and then once the process should begin, the computer is frozen once again. Any and all help will be appreciated.

My Specs:

 XP Pro SP3

Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo P8400 2.26GHz

2.9GB Dual-Channel DDR3

I had this issue when either the disk was bad or the CD/DVD was failing. You can try 2 things.

  1. Create a temporary folder on the desktop and try to copy the contents of the disk to the folder. Install from the the folder if you did't get no errors while copying.
  2. Install Impulse, have the CD key ready and you can download a fresh copy, install and update.

Well, not the exact issue, the video showing part of window is strange. Video card issue maybe? Did you install any other games yet? Make sure everything is updated like DirectX and whatever else SoaSE uses.

I don't know if this is related, but the Sins launcher is broken, so you can only really run it from the .exe file.
