Fleet Supply

Increase mod?

Hello!

Well, my English is very very bad (I use a translator :(   )

He wanted to know if there is a mod to increase Fleet Supply to figures as 250,000 or more.

Hey used the search, but what I find are old versions of the game (Gameplay.constants) and the lines are not exist..

Can you help me? O:)

If you ask me: I love having power to do what I want

such mods now cause too many issues (2 gig minidumps) and so are not done and constantly recommended against

250.000 O_O, no there aren't any mods which change it to that much, but it is relatively easy to do it yourself. First you will need the "reference files" made by harpo then create a new folder in your mod folder and then a folder in it named GameInfo. After that you copy over the maxshipslot research files from the reference files (I think that they are in the vanila sins folder) and then open them with notepad. You will find the fleet supply around the buttom.

Fleet Supply Files

These are the files you need to edit. Already structured to be a mod for Entrenchment or Diplomacy.

For Original Sins you will need to have the complete GameInfo folder from the reference files.

I do agree with Ryat that this is

NOT RECOMMENDED

250,000 fleet supply per player is a bit insane.  I have a supply mod out that gives up to 6,000 with large fleets selected and even that starts having an effect later into the game.  My guestimate is that around 15,000 to 20,000 (total, amongst all players and AI) fleet supply in play starts gets to the point where the game is crawling, and game time is probably 200%-300% realtime.  So I have to agree that giving 250,000 fleet supply is not a good idea from that perspective alone.  I have not, however, ever had a minidump from having 25,000 - 30,000 or more fleet supply in play in a large multi star game.  I'm sure it will happen eventually if you keep pushing the limit but I have had some insane game sizes going on and it's never occurred.  Sins seems to be able to handle a much larger fleet supply limit than the stock settings give (not speaking from a performance and playability standpoint of course).   Getting a minidump from exceeding your video card's memory (those with 768MB or less) seems to be far, far more common an issue with mods.

Hey tried to convert TXT files to BIN, but does not work with the program (does not jump any error)

Sorry to bother much, really :(

Is there a way back to the previous version of the game? What I am asking is easily done in the DEMO version of the game ...

Or, there is some way to remove even that is the time limit of the Demo and / or adding solar systems in the demo?

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'm too new to the amendment of the game ..
