Limited edition pre-orders question.

Will we have them on release day, or do they get shipped on release day, or will it be later? (I am guessing we will be able to download the Day 0 release from Impulse on release day if we had pre-ordered).

Correct.

We may ship the boxes out prior to release but I wouldn't expect them to arrive the day of (particularly if you're outside the US).
