MLogr available!

A new service called mlogr (media weblogger) allows users to post photos, videos, and audio directly to most blog services like LiveJournal, TypePad, MoveableType, WordPress, B2 and many others from your cellphone, pc, mac, pda, and most wireless devices, is currently in beta stages and is looking for bloggers to try it out, suggest new features; and help get it out of beta stages.

It has your common community-like features such as forums, comments and ratings, but it also has a feature called "friendslist" where your friends are automatically notified when you publish a new blog, photoblog, or videoblog. In addition to blogging media to your website it can also optionally display your photos in gallery's where users can rate and comment on them. All media published to your own blog is hosted on the mlogr.com website, where it can be modified. mlogr is completely free, although future pay accounts may allow additional functionality and additional storage space.

Sounds good. This is what I thought Google was trying to do with Picasa and its IM client.

With this, having a travel blog where you post where you went to would be easily done... well, I guess that would be a photoblog. Now if I can get a stable job, maybe I can buy my pda so I can run my blog from it and talk on message boards while checking for email.

I hope Modblog gets on the bandwagon with that.

You can make modblog blogs with this too.

I checked it out a little bit. Finding it hard to see a true use of this service for myself though. I use Word Press on my domain, and I have a defunct/abandoned ModBlog account. I really loved what ModBlog did, and I'm not sure how MLogr relates to that or how/why one would use another service to post a blog on another service. But, I have uploaded a picture or two on mlogr for the hell of it
