ATI™ has always provided outstanding support for the PC customization community by participating in activities such as the GUI Olympics. Now ATI is offering skinners the opportunity to design the user interface for the Catalyst™ Control Center”

The Catalyst Control Center was made skinnable through the integration of DirectSkin from Stardock. DirectSkin integrates easily into programs and allows software developers to use WindowBlinds technology to create new user interfaces for their products. WindowBlinds skins created with SkinStudio can be integrated into these programs.

Stardock is providing a special shareware version of SkinStudio for this contest. To enter the contest or for more information, please visit http://buy.ati.com/myprofile/ccccontest.asp

Only open for people in U.S. and Canada. The rest of the world should not bother.

"This Contest is offered electronically via the Internet to all natural persons who have Internet access, and are residents of Canada or the United States, with the following exceptions: the Contest is not open to residents of the Province of Quebec."

"All Canadian winners must correctly answer a skill testing mathematical problem, if selected as a winner"

.

If you have 3 full cases of Molsen but you drink 9 bottles, how many are left?

Here's a math question: How many ignorant americans are voting in the US? Answer: 59,459,765 (51% total)

Bloody hell, I thought that bit about the math problem was a joke till actually I read the rules. Why the hell would they need to find out how good a Canadian is at math just to give them a new GFX card?
unbelievable, yet true...... here is the excerpt from the rules:
The notification e-mail will state that to claim the prize the entrant must forward the correct answer to the mathematical question (if a Canadian resident) and complete postal mailing address and phone number (PO box addresses are not eligible to receive a prize) to [email protected] within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the notification e-mail.
Sheesh! I'm glad I'm not canadian.......I'm useless at maths.

This is probably in relation to a law against gambling or something similar - it has to be a "competition with a measure of skill". Either that or they just think dumb people don't deserve prizes. -)

I have just spoken with Erin Hawkins at ATI. Erin has worked diligently to make the contest as successful as she can. Despite her best efforts, the contest cannot be opened to people outside of North America.

We tried, but no luck.
