A Hexagonal grid?

I hear Civ 5 will have a hexagonal grid and was thinking If this it what they should do when they go to make GalCiv 3 - thoughts?

By hexagon grid i mean the way you move your ships Etc.. at the moment in Galciv 2 its a square movement
