Sampling of stats coming to WC2K5

Related to the call for skinners to upload their toolbar icons and progress animations, I want to share with you some of the stats WC2K5 will have for you:

These are my stats btw.  So someone claiming I'm not a skinner... There are tons of other stats like this in WC2K5.

Right now we're rolling it out to admins and then in a couple weeks to WinCustomize subscribers (level 4 or higher) and then eventually on out to everyone else.  The whole site is being rewritten from scratch so it's been quite a massive undertaking. There will be medals and awards for skinners and for tutorial writers and article writers, and more. Stay tuned.

Is this all going to be retro active? Also, medals and awards.. like, physical items or graphics of such medals that I can flaunt on my userpage?

HOLY COW! ObjectBar is ranked #1!
And there is so little activity on that piece of software

No, Nutshell, these are Brad's stats. It means that he got 245,000 downloads for Objectbar, which places him as the #1 most downloaded Objectbar skinner.

If you mean are the stats retroactive, then yes. And the comment posts. Everything you've done on WinCustomize! So if you've been rating other people's skins down, it'll show.

(Not for specific cases, of course. It just says if you've been harsh on average in comparison to the ratings of others.)

Attila, the awards/medals are in the form of icons that you can flaunt on your user page.

Your medals and such will show up on your user page too.

It also displays your average rating.

For example:

On my profile it shows (right nwo this isn't publicly viewable, soon though it will for those of you with subscriptions):

I've given 441 comments on skins making me ranked 56th.

I have given the 6th most ratings on skins and my average rating is 5 out of 10.

I have won the following medals (so far):

Gold Medal for most popular home page (because right now I pretty much have the only one <g>)

Gold Medal for having the most sites referring to my home page (same reason)

Medal for my forum posting activities.

and a bunch of others that are automated based on my various activities on the site over the years.

But there will be a bunch of admin/moderator assignable medals/awards such as for helping others, tutorial maker medal, Pioneer medal (for helping get a new section made), Medals for having a lot of your things featured or recommended.

Rats! I'm a level 3 and I'll probably have to wait more than two weeks before I get to see WC4...
I'm glad I'm a level 4 user.

/me pokes his tongue out at level 3 users
/me wants to play with this new toy

It's kind of cool watching the stats go up.  I'm still ranked #5 overall but I've got another 20,000 or so downloads total.

I do hope the new version is XHTML + CSS Otherwise you're passing up a huge opportunity to save TONS of wasted bandwidth.

So, what your saying Frogboy, is that even though I'm a contributor to Wincustomize,
I have to buy a subscription to increase my ranking?
