Stardock Right-Click is coming...

A new Object Desktop component is in the making - Right-Click.  This program is both very simple and very powerful.

It's simple in that it only does one thing: Replace your desktop context menu (right clicking on the desktop).  It's powerful because you can put pretty much anything you imagine on that right click menu.

And it's FAST. Very fast. And it's skinnable (of course). First beta should be out in a couple of weeks for Object Desktop users. (www.objectdesktop.com).

Looks very cool. Any possibility to have the option to use the middle button click, or is it just right click?

Tried to edit my post, wouldn't let me.

Is this going through the explorer process or can it be used with alternate shells?

SWEET!!!!

werewolf, if you can assign shortcut keys to your middle click, you could use object bar.. make a menu come up under the mouse pointer

This is fantastic. Quicklaunch and desktop icons can go bye-bye now on my system.

How will it integrate with the original Context Menu? Will it replace it entirely? Itegrate istself as a cascaded Menu Item from the Original Context Menu?

Cool, but you should consider a filebox extender style app.... much more useful (no offence)
Cheers!

Perfect! Especially for us old Unix Motif users out there.

Now I dont have to use the Object Bar to do this functionality!

Can't wait for the beta!

Looking forward to this

I'm with everyone else, looking forward to it. Will this encompass a separate skinning process or would it be using current WB skins as its base? Also, Frogboy, make Dangeruss update his old WB skins (orange_creame for instance) to be wb4 compatible and support its new features.

Skinning type is a good question, it would definatly be cool if ut could read the curent WB's menu skin and I hope skinning it is easier than messing with OB, Maybe even built into skinstudio with a full compliment of default images......

That won't be in the beta but that's part of the plan.

going to have to agree with the others, this doesnt hold any interest to me if wb cant skin it. If it will in the future, well then it holds a lot of interest and could very well become something I wouldnt want to go without.

Yep, it will definitely have the ability to use the current WB skin. If that doesn't make it into the first beta which is may not, i can say for sure that it will be in the second.

Them icons sure look familiar

Please, PLEASE don't make it try to do as much as NextSTART. Just keep it at the menu! I'm lovin' it already!

That's the idea.  Just the menu.  That's all it will do is focus on letting you create really customizeable right click menus.

I do not work for stardock but I would guess that yes, it is based on OB.........

wonderful, creative, useful, practical, applicable . . . on and on the adjectives go. Great work guys. I can't help but believe that the money spent on an OD subscription, Wincustomize Subscription, and all the other programs is well-worth the money. Thanks!
