That is a really cool site, its HUGE though. One of these days I should get a membership its impossible to find what I'm looking for without search. I never knew it was that successful...

A big Yay! for DA - an old friend. Jark is as nice a fella as you would wish to meet too.

(And thanks to Frogboy for highlighting it too.)

I agree with Essorant.
It's a lovely gesture to promote another site the way you have FB
Well done

Cheers to DA. Too bad their servers are always so stressed out from all the traffic.

Dang.. that is one confusing graph. What exactly is it supposed to be telling us?
Wincutomize going down? What's that about?

All the skinning sites have experienced some level of decline since XP's release which artifically pumped them up.  The graphs are RELATIVE popularity, not raw traffic.  WinCustomize's traffic has increased over the past year considerably but other sites have increased even faster during that time.

I don't normally shell out $$$ to subscribe to sites of any kind, but in DevArt's case it's been well worth the investmenteven for the artistically challenged among us...A good idea, if for no other reason than to support the site and those who contribute

Is it just me or is DeviantArt's website extremly slow? WinCustomize feels plenty fast but DeviantArt takes forever to load a screenshot even with cable access. The rest of the sight also feels sluggish which is why I don't visit it as much as I would other wise. Your experiences.

Note to Wolfpacker: DeviantArt has over 4 MILLION hits a month, terabytes of content, tens of thousands of people constantly looking at that content puts a unimagenable strain on their servers. Subcribers get a smoother conection because they pay, and most contribute to the site.

That said, DeviantArt is a awesome place to get and share ideas for new projects and to see what other people can do. I'm blown away most of the time by just browsing random sections.

I must agree, DeviantArt is a beautiful site, and very functional to boot. I love the way they do thier previews, to artwork. The shadowed thumbnails, actual give the feeling the site has Depth, or should I say add to the Sites' Depth. They also have a well developed User base, commentors and whatnot. It has steadily improved over the years, and once the site was revamped it sprouted like a well groomed, and nurished orchid. They were very good to The SkinZ.org Crowd, when we were homeless, and Wincustomize was a Baby. That's one not to forget, EVER.
They have always been more like the friendly neighbor, than the competitor. Let's face it! In this type of business, they are a competitor, for Users, eyeball space and revenues but they are Competitors of a different class. Nice of you to "Tip Yer Hat" Brad!

I always think of deviantART as an ally. Not a competitor. I can honestly say that I've never considered a competitor.  It's really a totally differene experience.
