Theme Manager is Stardock’s software program for changing the look and feel of the Windows PC Desktop. It can change the Window’s visual style, icons, mouse cursor, wallpaper, add Desktop widgets and even change the look of media applications. Theme Manager allows users to effortlessly change the complete look and feel of their desktops with just one click.

Bill Rehbock, Director of Developer Marketing for NVIDIA, said “NVIDIA continues to be impressed by what Stardock is capable of doing with the Windows desktop and user interface environment. NVIDIA looks forward to working with Stardock to bring the advanced features of NVIDIA's hardware to Stardock’s software suite.”

Larry Kuperman, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Stardock, added “We are pleased to have been able to work with NVIDIA on this project. Theme Manager is a great way for companies such as NVIDIA to reward their many fans by offering a free desktop and at the same time to spread their marketing message.”

Many companies are using Stardock’s Theme Manager as an integral part of their marketing campaigns. Companies ranging from Alienware to Zippo have embraced this technology, which puts a branded interface on user’s computers. In addition movie companies such as Touchstone and Universal Pictures have used Theme Manager to market upcoming films.

I don't mean to be rude here... but isn't this the same skin that is offered out here at Wincustomize? What is different about the one of NVidia's website other than the fact that it is bundled as a theme.

Lot more than just the skin and the skin has been updated to WB4. I believe there's icons and other goodies.

Hmm, sorry, but icons in the shot are MMX by Mikkel Madsen also.

When can I get an ATI skin?! My 9800 pro would be very happy

I'd like to download it but I'm worried about what the installer might do to my existing Stardock apps.

The difference is, I suspect, that this skin uses something like DirectSkin rather than a trial version of windowblinds. The nVidia skin here on wincustomize was done specifically for nVidia in the first place, so it's not like they're ripping it off. I've seen it come on some nvidia video card driver disks, along with a trial version of WB. This way, they can do away with the trial version, and as far as the end user is concerned, the skin is a fully functional program, so far as applying the nvidia theme goes.

That's what I'd guess anyway. Corporate licensing is not simple, though. Just because a company already offers something for free (theme manager, nvidia skin for download) doesn't mean another company gets to bundle it for free. This deal would mean that nvidia has the right to bundle that stuff, which should be a good moneymaker - and advertisement - for stardock, if handled properly.

This is the part I like:

This one is different from the original, the original had a greenish theme, this is more of a black and blue themes. They are similar though, but it has changed. And yes, this themes includes icons and a wallpaper as well.
