UnBeliever,
Yes, you can change the appearance of just about anything as far as I can tell.
And yes you can put the tabs on top, on bottom, or on the side, you can also adjust the alignment (center, left, right)

I like it alot! The flyout menus are a cool new way of moving through files and folders.

Questions:

Is it possible to adust the rate at which flyout menus scroll? Also, can i override the number of icons that are displayed in the flyout menu? Some folders on my system only have 5 subfolders in them. This poses a problem because I can't see them all at once and they ZOOoom by too fast to deliever any meaningful information before they are gone again. Makes me dizzy when they spin like that!!

Suggestions:

My suggestion for a future release is with regard to flyout menu control. When I mouse over one or the other end of the arrows that cycle through the files, I have a bit of difficulty stopping exactly where I want. I feel that it moves a bit too fast for my taste and if there were an alternative means of controlling the motion/speed and direction, other than the mouse, it would be a welcome feature.

My first thought was that the left/right keyboard arrows would work well enough in this regard. One key press, either left or right, would move the flyout menu in the corresponding direction. Now if either key is HELD down, then the menu would cycle through until released.

Alternatively, you might like to consider the mouse wheel as method of controlling the flyout menu icons speed and direction as well. Granted, not all people have a mouse wheel and so the arrow keys might still be the better choice.

How about hot keying for folder names in the currently active flyout menu? My meaning is that, if I hit the 'M' key on my keyboard, the menu would spin around to the begining of the folders in the menu starting with M.

I hope my meaning was clear and that it may help in making a wonderful product even better in a future release.

Sincerely,
BP_Ronjon

Suggestion.. option to always make the tab bar alide back down on mouse out... if you click anything on the bar, you have to click something else on the computer before it will slide back down.

I'm very intrigued by this, I've always wanted a program launcher that sits at the top of the screen and is hidden until you mouse over it (much like the screenshot with only the tabs showing). I always hoped someone would something similar in DX...but nevermind.

I can see myself using this in the short future...

Brad, I'm like a little kid in Toys R Us . . . this is a blast. This is the best $15 I've spent since I can remember. Ignore those who complain. There are enough of us that say thank you and keep up the good work. Actually, we are probably the majority!! Blessings, man. This is amazing!!!

Demos can be cracked.  That's why Stardock never releases demos, but rather crippled versions.

I can't get this to work in my power user account. It keeps on saying I'm not properly registered if my account is not set to admin which I don't want to set it to. I sent e-mail to support.

You're unable to read the serial number in the registry, that's why its unhappy at the moment.

And I would take a little issue with the "crippled versions" comment. We ively remove features and make sure you know its not a full version with the splash screens. But, we're not turning it off after an hour of use or having WindowBlinds paint hash marks over all your controls.

Just because your car doesn't have a CD player doesn't make it crippled for driving to and fro. But, the CD player adds a nice dimension to the experience.

I've used the old Object Dock for 6 months now (it's installed on my office laptop and I've had 3 different VP's and assorted others ask me for a copy of it). This is wonderful and I'm loving the new version.

One request though... as cool as the flyout menus are, please make a flyout menu that can be controlled in the same way as a dock... i.e. I want to be able to control what items get shown in it, with which graphics, etc... I guess this is really putting a dock within a dock without using tabs. And if you treat it as such, you could add dockets to it.

Yeah, I know I could do something like this by putting shortcuts in a directory structure but then it's using graphics based on the icons which usually can't stand the resizing that well.

Thanks guys for a great upgrade and be assured that the office will be geeking over it come Monday.

doh... never seen this message before since running this computer for 3 years!!! OD+ must have a memory leak. Windows just informed me it has to increase the page file size and some programs may be denied more memory.

I made the mistake of browsing into my mp3 folder. Flyout menus don't like trying to display 1000+ files at a time. everything slows to a crawl!!

Feature enhancement/request,
on the Flyouts, allow users to customize mouse overs and clicks, for say by default on mouse over do Nothing, if left click browse with the another layer of flyout (like default now), or on right click open folder in normal explorer window.

Maybe also only open in flyouts if less than X amount of files (I noticed this is a MAJOR problem with them), as mentioned above. I had the mistake of scrolling through the Control Panel and when I accidentally went over the Fonts, BAM, slowed to a crawl and the crashed, but other than that works great in all normal folders.

Frogboy, you think you can make a posting somewhere on the ideas you will be adding/improving for the 1.x releases (i.e. things you're focusing on).

thats f****** b****** ObjectDock should have stayed free, u guys try to make money from everything what happened to object dock is free everyone wants to try out how it works... programs like these are fun and people have fun using them but when you make a cost to it, it just doesn't seem like you wanna even use it anymore

Mildly 'adjusted' for language content.

Well... I gotta eat some crow. After looking around some more, I found out you CAN build your own sub-docks in the fly-outs.

This app rocks!

Saleenshady, your opinions are best left unspoken, especially with the language you are choosing to use. People have to make money to make a living. No one is forcing anyone to buy the program. If people don't want to pay for OD+, then stick with regular OD and be happy.
