I love them. They make our trains.

Never liked nextstart as it doesnt do multi column and all skins are big, bulky, and ugly. Besides for stability, Object bar, is one million times better, in my opinion.

i guess stability might be the killer factor for a program that is used in a professional environment

... which obviously invalidates what PeanutMan said.

I dunno what PeanutMan is talking about, but there are some great skins available for NS and WS, some of which are quite compact. I personally like being able to scroll a large menu MUCH better than having it march all the way across the screen in multiple columns. And as for stability, it's one of the most stable programs I've ever used. More stable than any Microsoft program I've ever used.

Not sure what the other person in this post is talking about but I have been using NextStart and Workshelf for years and it is, in my opinion, the most stable application of it's kind, bar none. There are tons of beautiful skins and the flexibility of this software is amazing. I love it and it's what I intend to keep using. Keep up the great work Winstep!!!

Oh yes, and one other thing that I forgot to mention in my post above. Winstep has the best support I have seen in a long, long time. Jorge is always very quick to respond to questions.

I concur. Winstep (NextStart and Workshelf) are really solid, extremely flexible and very useful apps. The fact that they are skinnable is just icing on an alraedy impressive cake.

To dispute a few things mentioned by PeanutMan:

> doesnt do multi column

Sure it does. You can even set a maximum items per column.

> all skins are big, bulky, and ugly

There are all types of skins available for NextSTART and Workshelf. From big and beautiful to sleek and minimal.

> Besides for stability, Object bar, is one million times better

NextSTART and Workshelf are as solid as a rock on four different computers I use extensively. Disclaimer: This is not meant to imply that ObjectBar is _not_ stable.

I've got to add my support for what is one of my favorite apps ever. Like Vector, Skwire and Chris say, it's as stable as a rock. I used it at home and work for a few years and found that I couldn't do without it. There are lots of skins for it (I even did a few myself!), some large, but lots of compact ones. It's even simple for a user to tweak the setting for a skin to fit their own preference for font size etc. Simply brilliant app. GO AND BUY IT.
