why are all the newer apps from stardock only downlaodable on download.com?

and if this is a week old then download.com needs to really update thier pages because it shows it as v1.01 and the files are all named bootskin_free but should include the version number so people dont wast thier time downlaoding

Go by the link on Bootskin.com. Which says v1.02.

Well, the link on bootskin.com that says 1.02 forwards you to a page at download.com that says:

While you're downloading BootSkin 1.01...

Is there a list of the changes in this version or is the random bootscreens the only change? Any news on the high color support?

Am I the only one having some problems with this latest update?

First of all, new bootskins that I download aren't automatically imported like they used to be...I've had to manually import every bootskin I've downloaded since updating.

Second, no matter which bootskin I set as being active, I get nothing but the default XP bootscreen when I turn on the computer.

/me sad, something buggy about this update

No, I'm having the same problems...except it loads the bootskin correctly, and then goes to a black screen and crashes. In order to get back on I have to reset, go on Safe Mode, and disable the bootskin. I even tested it with one that worked perfectly in 1.01, and it still crashed.

Just love this app & hope that all the fixes somehow get ameliorated soon! I don't like the prospect of having comp/crashes which is why I haven't dl it from SDC since its release...Thx.
