I have a question regarding the sovereign and when he dies after having read a few books.
His stats reset and the book bonus no longer applies, I found this strange, is it supposed to happen?
No. Stat changes from books should be permenant. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Looking at it now, it might just be that the defense changes with respect to the terrain... :-/
Well in my first game I used about 10 strength bonus and 8 dex bonus books, but noticed late in the game that I was barely ahead of where I had been. My speed and defense increases had seemed to have maintained.
Well, glad I am not crazy than. 
I'm pretty sure I had given one sovereign a movement book, and noticed some time later she only had a move of 1, so I guess this explains it.
